If you want your child to be able to stand out from their competition and to thrive in the modern world then they need to have the Attitude, Skills, Emotional Intelligence and Thinking Ability to do so.

The question is: How can you ensure that they develop these qualities?

Our 21 DAY CHALLENGES help you to do exactly this.

We break down the KEY life skills that your child needs, and over 21 days, we help them to understand what they are and more importantly,  they get to develop them where it counts- the real world.

the aim

Our aim is to create lasting behavioural change in your child.

For example, by completing the 21 Day RESILIENCE Challenge, we want your child to understand what BEING resilient is, both intellectually and in practice, so that they can BE resilient in their life.

How do we do this?

Not by focusing on changing behaviour, that never works- as those of us who have ever used the 'carrot and stick' approach will know only too well.

Instead, we concentrate on developing the areas that produce behaviour: 

  • IDENTITY- how your child 'sees' themselves. Using our example, if they don't see themselves as RESILIENT, they  won't behave RESILIENTLY.
  • BELIEF- if your child lacks self-belief, or doesn't BELIEVE that they are capable of RESILIENCE, then they won't behave RESILIENTLY.

    VALUES- our hidden motivators. Does your child value RESILIENCE? Why is it important to them that they ARE resilient?

how each challenge works

Each 21 Day Challenge is a downloadable workbook for your child to fill in and keep. Each day there are 3 fun activities that only take a minute or so to complete.

    MORNING ACTIVITY: your child answers one question that helps them to start their day in the right frame of mind.
  • 2
    DAILY MISSION: a single task which helps them to focus their thinking and their efforts during the day.
  • 3
    EVENING ACTIVITY: another simple question helps them to frame their day and reinforces what they have learned.

The key is to help your child experience what excellent behaviour looks like in the quality we are trying to help them to develop.

They get to practice and experience it in the real world, and at the same time the activities build their self-belief,  develop their identity and they begin to understand why the quality is important and important for them (values).

a bit more science

The reason for a 21 Day Challenge is that they say that it takes 21 days to make (or break) a habit and we are trying to create a new behavioural habit.

By doing small things several times a day over 21 days we also take advantage of the something called the compound effect*. This means that small changes made consistently over time actually produce an out sized  effect,  each  small change COMPOUNDS into a much bigger result.

Also, studies** have shown that when you make a note of your achievements (no matter how small they might be) you actually increase your motivation and performance.  We take advantage of this by asking your child to make a quick note of the daily progress they make. As they see their progression this further increases their motivation and improves the results they achieve.

Our focus in this challenge is to help your child to understand and develop their emotional intelligence with a particular emphasis on POSITIVITY.

Your child will build their own POSITIVITY PORTFOLIO, which will help them to experience more positive emotions and to BE more positive now and in the future.
