If I knew then what I know now, I wouldn't have thought about that choice for a even a second. My Aunt and Uncle weren't joking about their secrets- and the good news is, I'm going to pass them on to you too!

Before I tell you the secrets, let's deal with some of this stuff my parents were talking about, my guess is you probably hear it quite a bit and it probably gets on your nerves a bit as well.
You would think that having been teenagers themselves, parents would know a bit more than they do... but I did the research, turns out they get a lot of stuff wrong. First of all...
Yes, our bodies are undergoing a lot of change and some of that is hormonal, buuuut, that isn't the reason why we have mood swings or feel our emotions very strongly. Basically our brain is to blame for that!!!
Pruning: getting rid of old stuff we no longer need and keeping the good stuff we do.
Development: the PFC develops slower, this is the bit that is responsible for our decision making etc... So our brain isn't developed enough to manage our...
You can think of these a Energy in MOTION.
Basically in order for us to become adults, flee the next and have babies so we can keep the human race going, we need these to stimulate us into action, to try new things, to take risks. Unlike those boring old farts.
Having said all of that, being a teen is a very uncertain time. We are trying to find our place in the world and there's a lot going on.
This book is going to help you a lot.
Thankfully I had my A&U- as you will see in a second.
So they key is to talk to someone, parents, teacher, friends, someone you trust. Nobody knows if you are struggling- unless you tell them.
