It’s also true that you are what you think, what you say and what you do. It’s important to pay attention to these areas of your life so that you can exert more influence over the outcomes that you get. Just as someone who feeds their body with the wrong fuel, will become ill, unfit and overweight, if you feed your mind with the wrong fuel you are less likely to be mentally fit.

This image reminded us of a very famous quote by Eleanor Roosevelt-

Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people.

[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_custom_heading text=”so how to teach our kids?” font_container=”tag:h4|text_align:left|color:%23ce879f” google_fonts=”font_family:Oswald%3A300%2Cregular%2C700|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal”][vc_column_text]Pay attention to what they say and as the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, it probably makes sense to pay attention to what you say also. Are you gossiping around the dinner table, do you regularly share your opinion on what others are doing?

How about introducing a random topic to discuss over dinner instead? Or discussing a book, political event or something that is happening in the news.

Why not take any family topic, where to go on holiday, what to do for the weekend, family dinners- and get the whole family to come up with a list of ideas. Do 10 ideas per family member. Have prizes for the best and worst ideas, the person who came up with the most and the silliest.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_custom_heading text=”the daily lifehack summary” font_container=”tag:h4|text_align:left|color:%23ce879f” google_fonts=”font_family:Oswald%3A300%2Cregular%2C700|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal”][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1467224024606{border-top-width: 3px !important;border-right-width: 3px !important;border-bottom-width: 3px !important;border-left-width: 3px !important;padding-top: 40px !important;padding-right: 40px !important;padding-bottom: 40px !important;padding-left: 40px !important;background-color: #ce879f !important;border-left-color: #58646d !important;border-left-style: solid !important;border-right-color: #58646d !important;border-right-style: solid !important;border-top-color: #58646d !important;border-top-style: solid !important;border-bottom-color: #58646d !important;border-bottom-style: solid !important;}”]

Teach your kids to have a great mind:

Step 1:  Stop your own bad ‘gossip’ habits
Step 2: Introduce debate and ideas discussion instead- involve the whole family
