Resilience: a Boot Camp for your kids

Module 9: My RESILIENT identity.

Parent/ Caregiver notes and tips.

hello again

Welcome to the 9th and penultimate Module.

We hope that you and your child enjoy it.

Please get in touch if you have any questions, comments or suggestions, we'd love to hear from you.

purpose of the module

Today we are going to help your child put everything that they have learned, all the work that they have done, into one neat little package.

We are going to do this by helping them to create a RESILIENT identity.

a resilient identity

How you see yourself, the person that you believe that you are is the most powerful influence over how you feel, your thoughts, what you do and therefore your results.

That's why we have saved it until last.

We wanted to give your child plenty of knowledge, understanding, experience and practice to make sure that they could put all this together and confidently build a RESILIENT identity for themselves.

activity 1:
what to expect

In this activity your child will go through each module and we then ask them to highlight what was most important to them about it.

We then ask them to write that down in the form of a statememt about their identity on their activity sheet.

activity 1:
some tips

If you have all of their previous activity sheets saved, now is a good time to bring them out to help your child remember what they learned.

It's important to take the time here to craft a powerful statement. Your child should put a photo of themselves at the top of their activity sheet, as this sheet will be used as a reminder to themselves about how resilient they are,

what to expect

The purpose of the challenge is to help your child to remind themselves each day about their RESILIENT identity.

We found that first thing in the morning before school is a great time for them to spend a minute or two reminding themselves.

Ok, that's it.

Time to help your child to build their RESILIENT identity.

Good luck!
